Terms
What you are buying, and what we owe you.
These are the terms for Kept, the childhood archive app for Android published at keptbook.app, and for the printed books ordered through it. Plain language, because terms you cannot read are not terms you agreed to.

The app
€29, once, for the family. Not a subscription, and not per phone. The price includes VAT.
- The first 30 days are complete: every feature works, nothing is held back, and no countdown sits in your library
- After 30 days, adding new photographs and memories pauses until you pay. Reading and export stay free, permanently
- One purchase covers the whole family. A second keeper's app is free, and so is a second child's archive
- The app is sold through Google Play. Your purchase contract for the app is with Google, and Google's payment and refund terms apply to it
The licence is personal, for you and the keepers you invite, for keeping a record of your own family. You may not resell it or redistribute the app.
Your archive is yours
We claim no rights over your photographs, your writing, or anything else in the archive.
You own your content. We do not have a copy of it, so we could not use, licence, publish or train anything on it even if we wanted to. Nothing in these terms grants us any interest in it.
The corollary is that the archive's survival is in your hands. It lives on your phones. Keep more than one keeper, or keep the optional Google Drive backup switched on, or both. If every phone holding a copy is lost at once and no backup exists, the archive is gone and we cannot restore it — there is nothing on our side to restore it from.
Printed books
Books are made to order from your own archive and printed by a production partner.
- Prices are €49 for 60 pages, €79 for 100 pages, and €109 for 140 pages, plus postage. All prices include VAT
- You see every spread, page by page, before you order. What you approve is what is printed
- Payment is taken when you order. Production and delivery times are shown at checkout
- If a book arrives damaged, misprinted, or materially different from the preview you approved, tell us within 30 days and we will reprint or refund it
The withdrawal right, honestly stated
EU consumer law normally gives you 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. That right does not apply to goods made to your personal specification, and a book printed from your own photographs is exactly that. So we cannot offer a general change-of-mind return on a printed book once production has begun.
What we can do, and do: let you cancel free of charge at any point before production starts, and stand behind anything that arrives wrong. If you think a book is not what you approved, write to us — we would rather reprint it than argue about it.
What the app does not promise
The app is provided as it is. We work to keep it correct, but we do not warrant that it will be free of defects or that it will run on every device and every Android version.
- Features described as planned — including iOS, and pairing two phones that are not in the same room — are not commitments and may change or not arrive
- Google Drive backup depends on Google's service, which is outside our control
- Transfer between phones depends on your own network
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything on this page. Beyond that, our liability for any claim connected with the app or a book is limited to what you paid us.
If we stop
The app keeps working. That is not a promise about our intentions; it is a property of how it is built.
There is no server holding your archive, so there is nothing that can be switched off that would take it away. An installed copy keeps opening, keeps letting you add to it, and keeps exporting. If the book service ever ends, we will say so and stop taking orders rather than taking money for something we cannot deliver.
Ending it
You can stop using Kept at any time by uninstalling it. Your Drive folder and your gallery originals are untouched.
We may end a licence only if it is being used to break the law or to abuse the service — for example redistributing the app. In practice there is very little we are able to do at a distance, which is a consequence of the same design that protects you.
Photographs on this site
The photographs used to illustrate this website are licensed stock images. They are not real Kept archives and they are not anyone's customers — we would not publish a family's archive to advertise a product built on not publishing it.
Law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by Estonian law, and nothing in them removes the protection of the consumer law of the country you live in. If a dispute cannot be settled directly, EU consumer dispute resolution is available to you.
If these terms change, the date at the top changes. Changes apply to future purchases; they do not retroactively alter a purchase you have already made.
Kept is sold by Jipikaje OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia. That is the party you are contracting with, and the party to complain to.
One thing still worth a lawyer's eye.
The made-to-order exemption from the 14-day withdrawal right, in the printed books section, is the clause with real money behind it. Everything else here is standard. Delete this block once someone has read it.
